This is a free Grab the Mic word list you can use the moment your deck runs dry: 240 words in six themed sets, ordered from easy openers to deliberately awkward hard-mode words. Every word here was chosen because it turns up in the lyrics of a large number of well-known songs, which is the whole trick behind the format.
How to use this Grab the Mic word list
Read one word out loud, then let the group race for the mic exactly as you would with a card. The sets are ordered by difficulty, so run Easy Starters for the first round while people are still self-conscious, and save Hard Mode for later when nobody minds looking ridiculous.
Two things make a noticeable difference. Put a timer on each turn, five to fifteen seconds, because without one a confident player will stall until a song arrives. And decide up front whether a word has to appear exactly as written or whether a close variant counts, since that is what groups end up arguing about.
